Colette Rodbell can help. The Larchmont resident, who became Lord & Taylor's personal shopper soon after becoming an empty nester -- is all about finding what's right for you.
"This job is a lot of listening," she said of her 7-month-old position. "Though, often, as soon as you meet someone, you can size them up and figure out what might work best."
Her services, which are free, include a lot of running around.
"I've already lost weight in this job," she said as she scours the entire store for whatever you're looking for, from shoes to accessories for both casual and formal wear.
Spring trends include a host of updated '70s looks. "There's a lot of bohemia, a lot of fringe and a lot of florals in everything," she said.
Coral is everywhere as is summer suede.
It's also the best time to buy shorts, sundresses and bathing suits.
From now through April 26, the Friends and Family sale is on. The Scarsdale store is also hosting a "Charity Day" to benefit women's health organizations Saturday, May 2 where, with a $5 ticket, you'll get a 20 percent off storewide savings pass, including 10 percent off cosmetics. (Buy your ticket in store now through May 2.)
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease and other local women's health charities. Go to www.lordandtaylor.com/ for more information.
