JCC Plans Free Hanukkah Events in Scarsdale

SCARSDALE - Hanukkah begins at sundown Tuesday, Dec. 20, and at the JCC of Mid-Westchester is planning a pair of free events to celebrate.

A Hanukkah Candle Lighting, co-sponsored by The JCC of Mid-Westchester and Chabad Lubavitch of Westchester, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. Everyone is welcome to help usher in the first night of Hanukkah. For more information, contact Millie Jasper at (914) 472-3300, ext. 269.

On Sunday, Dec. 25, join in Hanukkah Fun from 10:30 a.m. to noon. There will be arts and crafts, open swimming and sports and games in the gym from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The morning will conclude with Hanukkah music, songs, stories and the traditional Hanukkah delicacy, sufganiyot (jelly donuts).
