Scarsdale Couple Honored At Record-Breaking Benefit

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A Scarsdale couple was honored for their work with the Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) at its annual benefit that raised a record $1,005,000 million.

Stephen Gilberg is president and owner of The Wealth Protection Organization and Lory Gillberg is founder of Elder Care Consulting. They were honored, in addition to fellow JCCA trustees and long-time volunteers Jay and Terri Bialsky.

The May 23 Gala, Celebration of Hope: A Reception to Benefit Children and Families, featured an auction that raised $140,800, also a record for the annual event. Hugh Hildesley, executive vice president of Sotheby’s led the auction at Capitale in New York City.

“Thanks to the extraordinary support of Daun Paris, benefit chair, the entire benefit committee, our honorees and our donors we are thrilled to have set a record in revenue,” Richard Altman, CEO of JCCA said in a statement.

JCCA provides services to about 16,000 at-risk children and families, including foster care, mental health and preventive services, educational services, residential treatment, services to recent immigrants, early childhood, special needs programs and adoption.
