Scarsdale High Sophomores Want Your Blood

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The sophomore class at Scarsdale High School is out for blood.

The students are organizing the school's annual Community Blood Drive at the high school from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in gyms A/B. The drive will be administered by medical professionals from the White Plains Hospital Center.

A photo ID and Social Security number are required to make a donation for everyone 17 years of age or older; 16-year-olds may donate if they also bring written parental permission in addition to the other documents. According to a press release, consideration will be given to donors who must return to work or other commitments.

Last Licks on Palmer Avnue will donate a coupon for a scoop of ice cream to each donor.
