HAMILTON, N.Y. – Several former Scarsdale students were recipients of the Dean’s Award for academic excellence for their work during the 2012 spring term at Colgate University.
Emily Charlotte Giove, an English major; Rebecca Lee Robison, who studied English and Environmental Studies and Sara Carlie Hirsch, a Psychology and Educational Studies major each earned the Dean’s Award at the end of their senior year.
Incoming senior Zachary Joseph Amron, a History major, earned the distinction, as did three incoming juniors -- Scarsdale High School graduates Shannon Faith Gupta who is studying English and Anne Scarcella, an International Relations major, and Edgemont Junior-Senior High School graduate Marissa Rae Lafayette.
To be eligible for this honor, students needed to maintain a 3.3 grade point average while staying enrolled in at least four classes.
