Plattus said the amount can support up to 600 children across Westchester County, including kids who benefit from WJCS programs.
During the gift drive, Yesenia Calixto explained how her son, Brandon, has matured and improved his social skills under the guidance of the programs offered at the WJCS Infant-Toddler Learning Center in Yonkers.
The Infant Toddler Learning Center is one recipient of gifts collected during the annual Holiday Gift Drive, which Plattus held at her Scarsdale home this year.
Several local companies, including Buon Amici, Cherry Lawn Farm Market and Cooked & Co., donated food and other necessities for the party.
Gift cards, gifts or donations can be mailed to WJCS, Attn: Tamar Moskowitz, 845 N. Broadway, and White Plains, NY 10603.
