The Town of Greenburgh memorial honoring local veterans will be built at DeSanti Park across from the Hartsdale Metro-North railroad station.

The park announcement was part of Wednesday's Veterans Day ceremony.

Earlier this year, the Greenburgh Town Board authorized the release of non-taxpayer money to create the Veterans Memorial Park. Construction is expected to be completed next year, Feiner said..

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner invited Gillibrand and Lowey to sign a poster with photos and names of the 150 veterans who participated in the town's "Living History Initiative."

Each of the 150 veterans was interviewed for 30 minutes on public access television. Their interviews are broadcast round-the-clock every Memorial Day and Veterans Day as well as on the weekends near those holidays.

Feiner said the interviews will be broadcast again Friday night until Monday morning. They'll air on Cablevision Channel 76 Verizon Fios Channel 35.

Feiner also said he plans to introduce a resolution before the Town Board creating a permanent Veterans Advisory Board to help veterans with problems related to their military service.
