Westchester Teen Gears Up For Carnegie Hall New York Pops Performance

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Six times is a charm. At least for Dobbs Ferry resident Christian Louca, a Loyola School junior, who will - for the sixth time -- perform at The New York Pops 33rd Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall.

The event is Monday, May 2, with the theme "Do You Hear the People Sing." The evening will celebrate the collaborations of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the songwriting team behind Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and more.

Louca, a member of The Broadway Kids, has been invited to this gala five times before, along with the rest of his group. Last year, he shared the stage with such notables as Alan Cumming, Bebe Neuwirth, Victor Garber, and Patti Lupone.

If that weren't enough, the young teen has already recorded an opening number for the WNBA and a musical number for The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The New York Pops will also perform on Monday, May 2, as will many Broadway artists.
