Accident Backs Up Traffic On I-287 In Greenburgh

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- An accident on I-287 near Exits 4 and 5 in Greenburgh was tying up eastbound traffic on Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m.

The crash was reportedly cleared just before 10:30 a.m.

Another accident was reported southbound on I-87 at the Tappan Zee Bridge, according to the New York State Thruway.  It appeared to be cleared around 10 a.m.

The State Thruway could not give an estimated time of how long the delays would take.

People are driving angry these days and thus these accidents occur which affect all of us and cause our car insurance to go up. The construction doesn't help either especially where the Sprain comes in this area. I thought the 287 construction near Anderson Hill Rd was over but again there have been obstacles. I don't drive much anymore but walking is dangerous as well
