Dry Conditions Raise Westchester Brush Fire Risk

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Westchester County on Wednesday due to the increased risk of the growth and spread of fire.

Dry conditions with low humidity will spread across the region, coupled with northern winds gusting up to 25 mph. 

Residents throughout Westchester County are reminded to take extra caution when dealing with outdoor burning or discarding of smoking materials while around dry fuel sources. 

A brush fire has already been reported in Montrose.
