Early Turnout Strong in Scarsdale Election

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale voters headed to the library early today to pick three people from among four candidates to fill open seats on the Village Board of Trustees.

Early indications pointed to a strong turnout.

"It's been quite busy, said poll volunteer Bina Ramchandani at 1:45 p.m. "Not too many between 7 and 8 this morning, but the rest of the time has been busy."

Incumbents Jonathan Mark and Kay Eisenman are running for re-election while David Lee and Harry Reynolds, both attorneys, are on the ballot for the first time. Mark, Eisenman and Lee are on the Scarsdale Citizens’ Non-Partisan Party line while Reynolds is on the Scarsdale Outs Secrecy In Elections party line.

Incumbent John H. Galloway III, who has served as village justice since 1996, is running unopposed for re-election on the Scarsdale Citizens’ Non-Partisan Party line.

The trustees' term is two years and members can serve a maximum of two, two-year terms.

Voting will continue until 9 p.m. in the Scott Room at the library.
