Experts Fear Spike In Lyme Disease-Carrying Ticks

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Experts fear there could be more ticks than usual in the Northeast this year, and we have the brutal winter to thank for it, according to The New York Daily News.

The Lyme Disease-carrying parasite will be more prevalent because of the snow fall that lingered for so long. The insulating properties of the snow helps to prevent a large kill-off due to colder temperatures, The Daily News reported.
