Fourth Annual Scarsdale Spelling Bee Set For Jan. 31

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Friends of the Scarsdale Library Spelling Bee is set for Friday, Jan. 31. 

The fourth annual event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Scarsdale High School auditorium. Residents are invited to cheer for their favorite teams and participate in trivia games, a silent auction and raffles to support the library. 

“It’s a lot of fun to do with friends and a great way for us to get involved in the community.” said Viveka Kymal, who has made the bee’s final round twice with teammates Maleeha Chida and Malika Lawrence.

Of the twenty teams participating, five teams of teenagers will strive to win the grand prize.

The following is a list of prizes and silent auction items that will be announced at the Spelling Bee:

  • Yoga Station classes
  • Rachele Rose Day Spa basket and gift certificate
  • Fly Gym Aerial fitness classes
