The 37-year-old Latvian immigrant, who admitted to watching her fiancé drown in the Hudson River, enjoyed the lunch with her two attorneys, including Richard Portale, and two women, one with a camera, after sitting in a jail cell since her April 2015 arrest for the death of Vincent Viafore, the Post said.

Graswald, who was once a nanny in Connecticut, walked out of the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility a month after she was sentenced for criminally negligent homicide, due to time served while awaiting trial and later sentencing.

"She is ready to take a big breath of fresh air and begin reconstructing her life," Portale told Daily Voice. "It's going to be rough for her. It's been a long 32 months."

After walking out of the prison, Graswald and team headed for the Lexington Square Café, where the group sat in a private room and started lunch with four martinis. She then had a $38 steak cooked medium, reported the Post.

Graswald, who was originally charged with second-degree murder for the drowning death her 46-year-old Poughkeepsie construction manager, is free after making a deal for criminally negligent homicide.

She admitted that she facilitated Viafore’s drowning by removing the plug from his kayak and that she knew the locking clip on one of his paddles was missing. Prosecutors contend she was looking to collect on a $250,000 life insurance policy in which she was the named beneficiary.

"I can't comment on whether she will even try to collect the claim," Portale said. "This is still ongoing and there are so many variables pending."

Graswald, who had been married twice before, said after the sentencing that she still loved and missed Viafore.

"I am not a murderer. I’ve said that from the beginning. If I could do anything to bring Vince back, I would."

Graswald now faces 16 months of parole to be served in Orange County where she has rented an apartment, and potential deportation.
