The League of Women Voters of Scarsdale will be hosting an open house for women and men on Monday, October 3 from 10 a.m to 11 a.m. The League, formed in 1920, is a nonpartisan group whose mission is to educate citizens and positively influence public policy. League members meet to discuss pressing issues in the community and formulate innovate solutions. Members also act as a community watchdog group through evaluating residents and creating educational programs. These programs focus on current major public policy issues in the Scarsdale area.
As a League member, you will have the opportunity to be a voice for the Scarsdale community, especially within the village and school system through regular interface with politicians, community leaders, and other civic minded individuals. Interested parties should contact Janice Starr at 914-472-8851 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP or with any inquries.
