Man Struck, Killed By Train At Metro-North Station In Hartsdale

HARTSDALE, N.Y. – An unidentified man was struck and killed by a moving train near the Hartsdale train station on Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a train strike shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Pipeline and Fenimore Roads, causing delays upwards of a half hour on the Metro-North line.

Hartsdale Police Chief Chris McNerney warned commuters to avoid the area as his department and Metro-North police continued the investigation following the Harlem Line incident.

The train reportedly carried no passengers when it struck the victim. The Westchester County Medical Examiner immediately reported to the scene.
