New Rochelle School Budget Survey Available

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The City of New Rochelle School District is looking for feedback from the public about what concerns them most regarding next year's school budget in the form of a survey.

"The motivation behind doing a survey is to once again learn from parents, residents and taxpayers of New Rochelle what is most important to them as we construct the school budget for next year," said City of New Rochelle School District Superintendent Richard Organisciak.

This is the second year the district is using the survey as a method to find out what the public feels.

"We have added a question this time about the tax cap that will take effect next year with the hope that we can determine the public's level of understanding and awareness about this important issue," said Organisciak.

"The information we collect from the survey will help us tremendously as we seek to not only develop our budget, but also how we communicate with the public about the important issues that affect the process," he said.

The first community budget forum will be held Feb. 13 in the New Rochelle High School library at 7 p.m.
