SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Scarsdale Forum will begin its 2012 Sunday Speaker Series next week, as it welcomes Scarsdale High School alumnus Clifford Krauss to speak about energy policy.
Krauss will speak about “Decision Time: Energy Policy at a Crossroads” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club, 37 Drake Road. He is the author of “Inside Central America: Its People, Politics and History,” and has published articles in Foreign Affairs, GQ and Wilson Quarterly.
The Scarsdale native is a New York Times national business correspondent covering energy. He covered the New York City Police Department and the U.S. State Department before serving as the bureau chief in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Toronto. Prior to working at The Times, he served as a foreign correspondent for the Wall Street Journal and was an Edward R. Murrow fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations.
Following his speech on energy, the audience will have an opportunity to interact with Krauss.
The Sunday Speaker Series is free and open to the public, courtesy of a grant from the Irving J. Sloan Education Fund, made possible by the Liz Claiborne-Arthur Ortenberg Foundation.
