Report: Peekskill HS Coach Resigned After Teen Alleged Sex Act

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The resignation of Rodney Headley Jr., who led Peekskill High School's varsity girls basketball team to a 2011 New York state title, came after a 17-year-old student alleged they engaged in a sex act, according to a report Wednesday by LoHud.com.

Headley, 29, resigned effective at the end of the school year.

The Peekskill School District reassigned Headley and launched an investigation in connection with a "personal matter" in March. The district then announced in May he was exonerated in the investigation.
