Scarsdale High School Freshmen Get Oriented

SCARSDALE, N.Y. - Scarsdale High School welcomed its freshman class this year with an orientation Thursday. Incoming students packed this hallway to learn about clubs and activities at the school.

Victoria Presser, public information officer for Scarsdale Public Schools, said that the freshmen received tours of the building, including the library.

"(It's) to get them interested and involved," Presser said. "(They're) getting climatized."

Students stood at tables on each side of the hallway to tell freshmen about various clubs and organizations at the school. Freshmen also made sandwiches for the homeless in the cafeteria.
