SCARSDALE, N.Y. A Fox Meadow Road resident told police last week that 18 fraudulent charges had been made against her 15-year-old's debit card between March 23 and 24.
The resident told police March 29 that the charges totaled $1,118.71. The daughter realized her card was missing, she said, when the mother, who shares the account, was notified by the bank of suspicious activity.

ID theft: A Lyons Road resident who said she canceled a credit card two months ago because of an unauthorized charge reported March 30 that someone tried to open a T-Mobile account in her name.
Vandalism: A Chateaux Circle woman told police Saturday that someone has been scratching her car in the parking lot between May 1, 2011 and March 30. The woman said she only uses the car weekends and that it remains parked during the week. She told police, according to the report, she has an ongoing dispute with a neighbor who has made verbal threats.
Attempted break-in: A Post Road resident in the Greenacres neighborhood told police March 31 that, between March 17 and 31, someone tried to break into her home. According to the police report, there was a broken window in a rear door, but nothing inside the home was disturbed or taken.

Gas leaks: Two gas leaks were reported Wednesday, March 28. The first report, at 4:04 p.m., was at Aspen Road and Benedict Avenue, where gas was found to be leaking from two street valve boxes. Con Edison was called to the scene for repairs. Then, at 7:47 p.m., gas was found to be leaking from two curb boxes on Palmer Avenue near Lincoln Road. Con Edison was called for repairs.
Mulch fire: A discarded cigarette is suspected to have ignited mulch at 7:54 a.m. March 30 outside Massa Italian Restaurant at 2 Weaver St. on the Wilmot Road side of the building.
