Rosenberg will describe targeted techniques using mindfulness to deal with the many challenges and time-pressures faced in today’s complex world. Mindfulness is maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and the surrounding environment.
Mindfulness also involves acceptance, paying attention to thoughts and feelings without judging them. Though it has its roots in Buddhist meditation, a secular practice of mindfulness has entered the American mainstream in recent years.
Rosenberg has studied mindfulness and incorporates it in her practice. She received a bachelor's degree magna cum laude in psychology from New York University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Adelphi University, Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies.
