Scarsdale Public Safety Building Dedicated

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale's renovated and expanded Public Safety Building on Tompkins Road was dedicated Saturday, and it was a long time coming.

The building has been open since November, when communications operations moved into the facility. Full police and fire operations moved in over the next month. The project had been scheduled to open in November 2010, but construction delays caused completion to be pushed back a year.

Local and Westchester County leaders were on hand for Saturday's event. Scarsdale's Assembly member, Amy Paulin, was joined by Westchester County Legislator William J. Ryan of White Plains, Westchester Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett, Scarsdale Mayor Miriam Levitt-Flisser and many others for the dedication.
