Cardinal Timothy Dolan officiated at the ceremony.
Scouts Aidan Connolly, Edward Gruber, Matthew Taylor and Joseph Tesler were among the recipients of the emblem, a church-related ministries and vocation program that is open to eligible scouts who are active Catholics.
In addition, Troop Chairperson Edward Mann was one of five scout leaders from across the region to receive the St. George Award for the significant and outstanding contributions he has made to the spiritual development of Catholic youth through scouting.
Through participation in the Pope Pius XII program, the Scouts learn about different life choices, occupations and ministries in the church and discuss current issues facing the church and society.
The initiative, which is run under the auspices of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting, also requires the Scouts to participate in a one-day retreat and complete a service project.
