WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A wrongful death lawsuit brought to court by the parents of a White Plains teen who was swept out to sea in Hawaii has been settled, according to LoHud.com.

Tyler Madoff, a 15-year-old Scarsdale High School student, was swept out to sea from the Big Island in Hawaii during a 2012 hiking and kayaking trip.

Terms of the settlement  with Bold Earth Teen Adventures and Hawaii Pack and Paddle were reportedly sealed.
