Three Hospitalized After Serious I-87 Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Car

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Three people were hospitalized after a car they were driving in overturned and was trapped under a tractor-trailer on southbound I-87 in Yonkers late Friday afternoon, according to News 12 Westchester.

The accident, which occurred around 4:30 p.m., led to the closure of the southbound lanes on the New York Thruway, near the Cross County Mall.

The injuries suffered by the three passengers in the car -- two adults and one child -- are reported to be non-life threatening, according to News 12.
