Tick Activity 'Severe' In New York

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Westchester County residents need to be watchful for ticks on not only themselves, but also their pets, according to pets.webmd.com.

The current level of tick activity in the Westchester County area is “severe,” pets.webmd.com reported.

Risks of tick bites include Lyme disease, which can sometimes cause serious health problems such as chronic pain and nervous system disturbances.
