What To Do In Scarsdale This Weekend

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A middle school musical, parachute play with the family and an indoor farmer’s market are a few of the events happening in the Scarsdale area this weekend.

Friday

Annie jr: 7 p.m. Scarsdale Middle School students will perform a rendition of the classic musical "Annie" under the direction of middle school teachers Dorothy Golden, Rachel Ketterer and Celia Cuk. Musical and dance numbers include "Tomorrow" and "It's the Hard-Knock Life." Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and on sale in the Scarsdale Middle School Great Hall between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday and at the door. Scarsdale Middle School

Saturday

Parachute Playtime: 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Children learn motor skills, develop spatial awareness and how to work together by using a 6-foot or 12-foot lightweight parachute. They play games such as “popcorn”, “follow the grown –ups” and more. Adult supervision is essential and registration is required. Scarsdale Library, 54 Olmstead Road.

Sunday

Indoor Farmer’s Market: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase a variety of food and products grown and produced by local farmers and vendors, including: fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses, maple syrup and honey, jams, meats, pickles, soaps and candles. Admission is free, but parking costs $5. Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave.
