Author Lucette Lagnado: 7:30 p.m. Lucette Lagnado, author of "The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit," will discuss her new book "The Arrogant Years." Lagnado tells the story of her mother, Edith, coming of age in Cairo, her own early years in America, and the devastating cancer diagnosis that robbed her of her "arrogant years." Teen Writers Conference Registration Deadline: 5 p.m. The Scarsdale Public Library will hold its second annual Teen Writers' Conference on Friday, May 11, at Scarsdale High School. The event is open to students in sixth through 12th grade. Each participant will be able to attend two workshops, divided by grade in a variety of genres, led by local authors with expertise in their given field. There is no charge to attend, but donations are encouraged; checks should be made out to Friends of the Scarsdale Library, and submitted at the conference. Registration form is available online and can be filled out and e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or submitted at the front desk of the Scarsdale Public Library, Scarsdale High School Library or Scarsdale Middle School Library.
