What's Happening in Scarsdale This Week

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale residents get a chance to vote on the 2012-13 school budget this week, and a new theater company makes its debut Friday night. For more, see our events calendar.

Tuesday, May 15

School Election: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Registered Scarsdale voters may vote on the 2012-13 school budget and for candidates for two seats on the board of education. Scarsdale Middle School, Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Committee for Historic Preservation: 8 p.m. The Scarsdale Committee for Historic Preservation will meet in Rutherford Hall to consider the following properties: 9 Hamilton Road, built in 1921; 12 Fairview Road, built in 1925; 7 Wakefield Road, built in 1952; 8 Wakefield Road, built in 1950; 18 Spier Road, built in 1952; 34 Wayside Lane, built in 1956; and 346 Heathcote Road, built in 1929.

Wednesday, May 16

Municipal Services Committee: 6:55 p.m. The Municipal Services Committee of the Scarsdale Village Board of Trustees will meet in Rutherford Hall for a land use process information session and discussion with land use board chairs. Scarsdale Village Hall, 1001 Post Road, Scarsdale.

Friday, May 18

Tibi Confidas Theatre Troupe debut: 8 p.m. Scarsdale's newest theater troupe makes its debut with "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)." The show continues May 19-20 and May 25-26, with performances at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sunday. $20 adults, $15 students and seniors.
