Winning $1M Powerball Ticket Sold In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- One of three winning $1 million tickets in Saturday's Powerball drawing was sold in New Rochelle.

The ticket was sold at New Roc City Deli on North Avenue, according to a post on the New York Lottery's website.

The winning ticket for the $429.6 million jackpot was sold in Mercer County, New Jersey, state lottery officials said early Sunday morning.The ticket holder has a year to claim the prize.

The winner numbers drawn were: 5-25--26-44-66 with the Powerball 9.

In addition, seven other tickets matched five numbers with payouts of $1 million each. There were three sold in New York, with the one in New Rochelle and two on Long Island,. Two others were sold in Illinois and one each was sold in Virginia and California.

It was the largest Powerball jackpot since January when the $1.6 billion prize was split among three ticket holders.

The current estimate jackpot for the latest Powerball drawing is a mere $40 million.
