Barbaralee Newquist, 88, Longtime Scarsdale Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Barbaralee (Bolly) Newquist, a Westchester resident since 1940, died Dec. 27. She was 88.

Newquist was a resident of White Plains, she had resided in Scarsdale from 1940 to 1994. She was active in Scarsdale real estate from 1953 to 1965. She was a founding member of the "Beat the Dow Club" in 1994, an investment club for seniors, and was a current member of its board. She was a former member of the Scarsdale Golf Club where she headed the Junior Tennis Program, a member of the Shenorock Shore Club, and was active at Manursing Island Club in Rye.

Newquist is survived by her son, Scott Crawford Newquist (Aileen); two granddaughters; sister, Mrs. William H. Bassett, III of Scarsdale; a step granddaughter; and three step great grandchildren all of Denver, Colo. She was predeceased by her first husband, Don A. Crawford; and second husband, Lester J. Newquist.

A memorial service will be held at the Rye Presbyterian Church after the holidays at a time to be announced to friends.
