Irving Harris, 86, Scarsdale Resident

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Irving Harris, of Scarsdale, died Monday, Feb. 8, due to complications from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. He was 86.

He was a graduate of City College in New York City and was the founder of Harris Restaurant Supply of Port Chester. He was born in the Bronx. He was a member of the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle and an avid tennis player.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; sons Allan Harris of Garrison and Steven Harris of Palm Springs, Calif.; brother Joseph Harris of Jupiter, Florida; daughter-in-law Diana Harris; sister-in-law Nancy Harris; and grandson Aaron Harris.

Services will be held Thursday at noon at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave., Scarsdale.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Calvary Hospital, in the Bronx, would be appreciated.
