SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- John M. Dillon, a longtime resident of Scarsdale, died on Wednesday, May 6. He was 87.
Dillon was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Jan. 19, 1928.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Dillon Hillas and her husband, Kenneth, Cynthia A. Dillon, John M. Dillon and his wife Elizabeth, Alan E. Dillon and his wife Karen; grandchildren Kenneth M. Hillas III and his wife Caroline, Duart D. Hillas and his wife Amanda, Bryant F. Hillas and his partner Xanadu, Adriana M. Hillas, John F. Dillon, Alan E. Dillon, Jr., and Colin T. Dillon; and two great-grandchildren, Joanna Caccia Hillas and Dante Ford Hillas.
Visiting hours are on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, at 824 Scarsdale Ave. in Scarsdale.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sts. John and Paul Parish, 280 Weaver St. in Larchmont.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcomed to the Scarsdale Fire Department, 50 Tompkins Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
