SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Joseph Raymond Sadowski, 83, of Scarsdale, died Oct. 16, 2015.
The son of the late Theresa and Joseph Sadek, he was born April 4, 1932 in the Bronx.
He resided on Beach Avenue in the Bronx, attended Mount St. Michael High School, and went on to Villanova University.
After receiving a degree in economics from Villanova University, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the intelligence community while deployed in Ethiopia.
On Oct. 6, 1962, he married the former Rita Tschumper of St. Gallen, Switzerland. They remained married for 53 years and had three children, Debra Miano (Stephen), Andrea Sadowski and Glenn Sadowski (Claudia).
He was the eastern region sales manager for Proctor Silex.
He was a grandfather to Emily, Kristen, Michael, Julia and Dylan.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St., Bronxville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Annunciation Church, 465 Westchester Ave., Tuckahoe.
