HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- Laurence "Larry" Goodwin Cole, of Hartsdale, died on Monday, Feb. 22. He was 75.
Born in New York City, Cole graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his master's degree from Baruch College of New York and worked as a computer programmer for U.S. Tobacco in Greenwich, among other companies.
He was a member of the Elks Club, as well as a member of the RMS Society, an international organization for match cover collectors.
Cole is survived by his wife, Arlene; children Stacey and Jonathan; and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Bianca. He was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Sybil Cole.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Congregation Emmanuel of Westchester. Interment will be in the Sharon Gardens Cemetery, in Valhalla. Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services, of White Plains, is assisting with arrangements.
