Maureen Storz Markey, 68, Psychiatric Nurse In Scarsdale

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Maureen Starz Markey of Scarsdale died of cancer on Friday, Jan. 16. She was 68.

Markey was born in the Bronx on Aug. 5, 1946, to John and Audrey Markey. She was raised in Scarsdale, and attended the Ursuline School, Niagara University and received her registered nurse degree from United Hospital School of Nursing.

Her professional life focused on psychiatric nursing and addiction. After many years with United Hospital, she established a private practice in Scarsdale, where she helped people through their struggles with addiction as well as mental health issues. She took great pride in her home and loved gardening and birds.

She is survived by husband, Ralph Rogers, daughters Megan Supple (John) and Christy Gotto, brother John Jay Markey, grandsons Ryan Gotto and Connor and Brendan Supple and stepson Terrell Rogers. 

She was predeceased by a stepson Reggie.
