Philip Hill, 90, Former Scarsdale Attorney

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Philip S. Hill, a former Scarsdale lawyer, died Aug. 1. He was 90.

A longtime Scarsdale resident, Hill started the Hill, Ullman and Erwin law firm and practiced in Manhattan and Scarsdale. He served on the vestry of St. James the Less Church in Scarsdale, various community boards and on the board of directors of several corporations. Most recently of Stamford, Conn., Hill was an avid aviator and skier.

He is survived his wife of 50 years, Gloria; two sons, Philip and Duncan; a daughter-in-law, Frances Hill, two granddaughters and a great-grandson. Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home in Scarsdale is handling funeral arrangements.

His legacy about legal mainstream will always remain, good that he also thought his kids to take same path like him. If I remember it right during the 80's he also serve as workers compensation lawyer where he was helping laborers and workers with demands to their company.
