He was the son of Prospero and Antoinette Filardo. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-1972.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Filardo; their children, Theresa Jahn (Jesse), Anthony Filardo (Maria) and Christopher Filardo; his sister, Mary Codispoti (Lawrence); brother, Peter Filardo; and three granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes in Scarsdale.
A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 91 Secor Road, Scarsdale. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
