Virginia Wrenne Henchy, 86, Former Scarsdale Resident

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Virginia Wrenne Henchy of White Plains died Dec. 23. She was 86.

Henchy was born Oct. 8, 1927; daughter of William C. and Mary Henchy (nee Burns). She lived in Pelham and moved to Scarsdale where she attended IHM and graduated from Scarsdale High School. The rest of her life she resided in White Plains. In 1949 she received her B.S. degree from Good Counsel College. Upon graduation she joined BBDO advertising agency in an administrative capacity assisting various account executives. After various assignments she became the executive assistant to four consecutive CEO’s. After 46 years she retired from Omnicom Group. Henchy is survived by her brothers, William (Jeanne) of Brewster, Mass., John (Edna) of Stratford, Conn.; sisters, Margaret H. Powers of Scarborough and Elizabeth A. Henchy of White Plains; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
