Michael Djukic of 25 Lake St. was indicted as a co-conspirator in last month's shooting death of 23-year-old Dominique Hospie, according to the D.A.'s office.

Hospie, a 2010 graduate of Peekskill High School, had been involved in a prior shooting incident for which he served prison time, as reported here by Daily Voice.

After shooting a 16-year-old White Plains boy in Delfino Park in the fall of 2011, Hospie pleaded guilty to felony assault. The boy survived. Hospie was released from Washington Correctional Facility in 2014.

On Wednesday, Djukic entered a not guilty plea to these felony charges:

 -- second-degree criminal possession of a weapon,

-- second-degree criminal facilitation,

-- tampering with physical evidence,

-- second-degree hindering prosecution.

On Sunday April 17 at about 11:24 a.m. near 91 N. Kensico Ave. in White Plains, Djukic -- along with his 21-year-old co-defendant, Aaron George -- was in a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Djukic, according to police reports.

The suspects drove to North Kensico Avenue where Djukic reportedly waited in the Chrysler as George exited the car, approached the shooting victim who was on the street -- and fired a handgun multiple times Hospie, striking the victim, police said.

George ran back to and got in the car, where Djukic was waiting in the driver’s seat; the two immediately drove off. The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, suffering gunshot wounds to the hand and back, police said. Hospie died while undergoing surgery.

Djukic faces a prison sentence of three-and-a-half to 15 years in prison, according to the D.A.'s office. His bail was set at $200,000 cash or bond. Djukic's next court appearance is June 1.

Co-defendant Aaron George of 396 Main St. in White Plains is due to be arraigned on Friday.

Deputy Bureau Chief Nadine Nagler of the Career Criminal Bureau is prosecuting the murder case.
