Bronxville Police patrol officers on Midland Avenue were Hemlock Road conducted a traffic stop shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 after they observed a driver - later identified as 25-year-old Jose Molina of Yonkers - drive through a red light.

When police signaled Molina to pull over, he brought the vehicle to a stop in the hedges of the center median, police said.

According to police, Molina refused to submit to an alco-sensor pre-screening test at the scene of the stop, but later it was determined that his blood alcohol content was .20 percent, more than double the legal limit.

Molina was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was released on $200 bail and is due back in Bronxville Justice Court next month.
