The group, which was visiting the Silver Sands State Park in Milford, Conn., walked out to a sandbar visible at low tide, and was quickly caught in neck-deep water as the high tide rolled in, said the Connecticut Post.

Three marine units, including a jet ski, were dispatched from the city dock after receiving a 911 call. Firefighters were able to rescue the youngest children first and then worked to take the remaining victims to shore. No injuries were reported, added the Connecticut Post.
