A Bronxville DPW employee reported to police on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 9 that he had observed a concrete truck spilling its contents for several blocks, causing a mess on the roadway.
Police said that officers were able to track down the driver on Gladwin Road to conduct a traffic stop. The driver was issued Bronxville Village Code violations for damage to public property and littering, directing him to return to Bronxville Justice Court to answer the charges on Nov. 29.
Other items on the Bronxville Police Department blotter from Nov. 5 through Nov. 14 include:
- A suspicious man was spotted by a Bronxville Police Desk Sergeant late at night carrying a woman’s purse. When officers arrived to question him, the suspect proceeded to flee through a yard. A bag with allegedly stolen property has been recovered. No suspect has been identified.
- The owner of the Soccer Rugby Store on Pondfield Road reported to police on Nov. 9 that four females had entered the establishment and stole more than $1,000 in merchandise. The incident is actively being investigated by police.
