Waterbury resident Faith Ann Ward, 35, was charged following a lengthy investigation dating back to last year after a man from Mount Kisco complained that she allegedly forced him to send her additional money, threatening to out him, according to a rep-am.com report.

Ward was forced to register a sex offender in Connecticut after moving following a conviction of attempted lewd act on a child in South Carolina in October 2000. Her last known address was an apartment in Waterbury.

Ward came into contact with the unidentified Mount Kisco man after she posted an ad on backpage.com - a service similar to Craigslist - describing herself as “black, dominant, ruthless and plus size,” Connecticut State Police said. The man allegedly paid her hundreds of dollars to perform various acts, but Ward recorded him in the process, threatening to expose the footage on the Internet to his wife, friends and family.

According to the report, the two negotiated payments of more than $5,000 in gifts, which the man paid, but Ward still exposed him to his wife. During the subsequent police investigation, Ward was recorded confirming the deals of the extortion over the phone. Videos of the man engaged in sex with Ward, rubbing her feet and cleaning her oven were also recovered.

Ward was arrested and charged with second-degree larceny, voyeurism with malice and disseminating voyeuristic materials. She is being held in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
