Four Girls Attack Owner At Westchester Restaurant, Police Say

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Four girls from the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Residental Treatment Center were arrested Tuesday by Mount Pleasant Police after walking out of a restaurant without paying and then attacking the owner.

The girls, between the ages of 13 to 15, were stopped at the Valhalla railroad station around 3 p.m. after police received a report they had ordered and eaten $40 worth of food at a restaurant on Broadway, then walked out without paying, police said.

 When confronted by the restaurant owner, the girls attacked the owner throwing her to the ground, police said.

They were charged with theft of services, petit larceny, and attempted assault and referred to the Westchester County Family Court.
