Housekeeper Accused of Grand Larceny From Scarsdale Employer

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale police arrested a New Rochelle housekeeper Monday and charged her with stealing property from her former Oak Way employer’s residence, police said.

Jeanne Quigley, 47, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both class E felonies. She faces up to four years in prison on each count.

The investigation into Quigley began May 30, according to a police report, when a Scarsdale resident reported items were missing from the home. A home security system installed in the residence captured the Quigley taking the items, police said.

When confronted, the homeowner told police, the housekeeper returned some property and was fired, police said.

Detective Brendan Kellaher conducted the investigation and interviews, which resulted in Quigley’s arrest. The investigation resulted in the recovery of additional property reported stolen from the victim’s residence, police said.

Quigley was released on bail and given a Wednesday court appearance in the Scarsdale Justice Court.
