Patrol officers conducting speed enforcement on Post Road at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night stopped 33-year-old Yonkers resident Woodraw Yoon when he was spotted driving nearly 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

During the subsequent traffic stop, police said that Yoon told officers that he believes he may have a ticket that he “forgot about.” He then failed to provide a physical driver’s license, but stated that he does hold one.

During a DMV and NCIC check for Yoon, officers discovered that Yoon had his driving privileges suspended on three separate dates. He also had an active warrant out for his arrest in New York City.

Yoon was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle with three or more suspensions and operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver. He was also cited for speeding.

After contacting the NYPD regarding the warrant, Yoon was released on $250 bail after being told that the agency would not be able to pick him up until Monday. He is due back in court on Wednesday.
