Tyrone Miller was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, creating a public disturbance and first-degree harassment. He was held on $10,000 bond and went to court Friday.

Police received a complaint about a disturbance under the Monroe Street bridge at 3 p.m. Thursday. Miller had approached a man and woman, later revealed to be his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, police said.

The woman told officers that Miller has been harassing her, and that he grabbed her by the coat and wouldn't let go, police said.

The boyfriend stepped in and attempted to get Miller to let go, at which point Miller pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the man, according to police reports.

The couple ran and got into a car and started to drive away, but Miller chased them on foot, police said. The couple was able to flag down an officer, who arrested Miller. Police said there was also damage to the car caused by Miller throwing objects at it.
