An NYPD officer from the Hudson Valley who had been the subject of a manhunt was arrested Tuesday in Manhattan for allegedly exposing himself to two girls in the Bronx, said the NYPD.

Officer Adam Fridson, who lives in Yonkers and owns a home in Patterson,  has been suspended after he was arrested after the department put out a call to the public for help in identifying a man who flashed the two girls, 12 and 7, in front of a funeral home, the NYPD said.

In a statement, the NYPD said that Fridson, a 12-year veteran of the NYPD's Transit Bureau, approached the girls on East Tremont Avenue around 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Police said it was reported that Fridson exposed himself to the girls, exposed himself and asked them for directions to McDonald's. He then fled in a light-colored Subaru in an unknown direction.

Fridson was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the department's 5th Precinct, which covers Chinatown and Little Italy, the NYPD said.

Fridson, 43, was charged with two counts of acts in a manner injurious to a child, two counts of lewdness and two counts of exposure of person.
